Rise Up Ministries

"The Lord replies: ‘I have seen violence done to the helpless, and I have heard the groans of the poor. Now I will rise up to rescue them, as they have longed for me to do” (Psalm 12:5).

Educating and Empowering to End Family Violence and Abuse

Abuse is prevalent in all parts of society; including the Christian community, for no one is immune from the impacts of family violence. Issues associated with domestic abuse are complex and misunderstanding the underlying dynamics often intensifies the painful and confusing experiences of those being abused. As followers of Christ, we have the responsibility to provide hope and sanctuary to those suffering physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually from the effects of family violence and abuse. We must respond to this serious problem in a compassionate and effective way and seek healing and justice for both victim and abuser.
